Are services provided by AccessWay Support Services covered by private healthcare insurance?

Many extended health insurance plans include coverage for services provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW). We recommend contacting your benefits provider to confirm whether social work services are covered under your plan.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to use your services?

No referral is required. We can work directly with you to complete assessments and prepare your DTC documentation. However, your healthcare provider will need to review and complete the DTC form as part of the official application.

What if I don’t have a family physician?

We can assist in referring you to a healthcare provider who may be able to support your DTC application in certain situations.

Are your services only for new applicants?

No. We also provide support for clients who are already approved for the DTC and want guidance on maximizing benefits or accessing related programs.

Where are you located?

We are located in Scarborough, Ontario. Generally, sessions are done virtually or by phone.
